Plaintains with Balsamic-Basil Glaze

Serves 4-6

1 cup balsamic vinegar

2 tablespoons butter, melted

2 tablespoons Wild Thymes Chili Ginger Honey Marinade

2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil

teaspoon salt

olive oil

4 soft ripe plantains (they will be black when ripe)

Preheat oven to broil (or prepare grill). Boil vinegar in a saucepan until reduced to about cup (7-10 minutes). Combine vinegar, butter, Chili Ginger Honey Sauce and salt in a small bowl. Place plantains on oiled grill pan. Broil or grill until tender, turning and basting frequently with vinegar mixture. Cut plantains in half diagonally.
